adidas World Campus nominated for Bavarian Landscape Architecture Prize

30 October 2020

The landscape design for the adidas World Campus is nominated for the Bavarian Landscape Architecture Prize 2020. The competition honors projects and plans in Bavaria that are characterized by innovative and sustainable outdoor and landscape areas of high quality.

The campus landscape is the gathering place of the employees and visitors of the adidas Group. The main ingredients of the design are five individual ‘stars’ that link the entire campus together. These twelve meters wide brightly colored stars are integrated into the fabric of the campus and mark the nodes where employees of Adidas can meet for many activities and events. The design forms a strong visual composition with the crisp facades of the new HQ buildings.

Out of more than 50 nationwide submissions, the jury nominated six projects for the Bavarian Landscape Architecture Prize. LOLA’s landscape design for expansion of the adidas headquarters is one of the contenders. Together with three other projects the 14ha campus is also nominated in the category Arbeitsumfeld, work environment. dbla announces the winners in January 2021.
