Haitang River Park Landscape Institute Awards nomination

8 August 2025

We are excited to share that Haitang River Eco-Park has been nominated for the Landscape Institute Awards 2025. The project is one of three finalists in the category Large Scale Projects. With over 200 entries submitted for this year’s awards, the nomination is a great recognition for Haitang River Eco-Park as an outstanding project that addresses some of today’s greatest challenges for people, place, and nature.

Stretching nearly ten kilometers of formerly industrialized riverfront, the ambitious Haitang River Eco-Park transforms the area into a vibrant tropical ecological corridor that reconnects communities with nature. Guided by a clear set of principles rooted in ecology, water management, and microclimate knowledge, the design restores mangroves, wetlands, and native forests, while introducing butterfly gardens and wildlife corridors. The result is a thriving landscape that boosts biodiversity and strengthens the city’s resilience to climate change.
