LOLA Landscape Architects presents its first short film ‘Living in Lost Landscapes’. The film is a short documentary in which we showcase a selection of our projects, the mission that drives us, and the team we work with.
The film focuses on the work we do in major cities in different parts of the world. In ‘Living in Lost Landscapes’ we address the importance of nature-based cities – the concept that a better city emerges when natural systems are being taken as the starting point for transformation. As we also engage in amongst others regional design, shaping rural transformation and envisioning adaptation to sea level rise, this first short film may have a sequel at some point in time.
Director Roel van Tour not only interviewed the partners and associates of LOLA, and visited and filmed a number of the projects we have designed over the years, but he also talked with engaged experts such as Jeroen Maters (Vrienden van het Singelpark) and Job Floris (Monadnock Architects / Architecture Prize Almere).
