Opening Phase II Haitang River Eco-Park

18 April 2025

This week, we celebrate the opening of Phase II of the Haitang River Eco-Park in Sanya. This ambitious project transforms nearly 10 kilometers of previously industrialized riverfront into a flourishing tropical ecological corridor that connects people with nature. Our landscape design follows a simple set of rules, based on knowledge of ecology, water management, and microclimate.

Through the restoration of mangroves, wetlands, and native forests, alongside the creation of butterfly gardens and wildlife corridors, the park revitalizes biodiversity while enhancing the city’s resilience to climate change. Former farmlands have been transformed into land art plateaus that not only serve as ecological buffers but also generate economic value for local farmers.

The park now offers a range of experiences, including shaded walking trails, interactive environmental installations, and sensory gardens that engage visitors of all ages. Haitang River Eco-Park is more than a green space, it’s a living example of how nature and urban life can thrive together.
