MARK gets the votes

26 January 2022

Residential complex MARK is to become the new icon in the Cascadepark. With a large majority of votes, the municipality and the residents selected the project of VORM, LOLA Landscape Architects and Groosman Architects as the winning concept for the development of two new residential towers. The Almere urban living environment will be enriched in a green and sustainable way.

MARK fits seamlessly into the landscape, as if it has always been there. With a unique landscape mix of the Oostvaardersplassen, the Pampushout and the Cascadepark, a fully-fledged natural landscape has been created on top of MARK’s sunken parking deck. This ‘wetland’, made up of water, banks of reeds and boardwalks, will allow the building to merge into the Cascadepark as a matter of course. At the same time, it adds an attractive natural landscape to the Cascadepark for both residents and plants, birds and insects.

Construction is expected to take twelve months and will be completed in 2024.

Client: VORM
I.c.w.: Groosman Architects, Donker Groep
